The Automobile Company, Tesla Inc. has got 2.50 lakh pre-orders for its new upcoming electric pickup truck, The Tesla Cybertruck. On 26th November, Tuesday, Elon Musk, who is the co-founder and CEO at Tesla, declared this information on his Twitter account. The official booking of this electric pickup truck was started just after it’s unveiling which was held on 22nd November 2019.
If you want to buy this electric pickup truck, then you can pre-book this Tesla Cybertruck by paying an amount of $100, which will be fully refundable amount. However, the production of this pickup truck will begin in late 2021. The buying price of this Cybertruck will start from $39,900.
The Tesla Cybertruck is made of the stainless steel body, which is mainly used in the rockets. This comes in three variants, the first one is the Single Motor Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD), the second one is the Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD), and the third one is the Tri Motor All-Wheel Drive. The company claims that it is a “better truck than the F-150, and it also faster than the Porsche 911”.
In a single charge, the top-spec tri-motor AWD variant gives a claimed range of 800km. In just less than 2.9 seconds, it can do 0 to 96 km per hour. While the entry-level single motor RWD trim of this electric pickup truck, offers the range over 400km, and the dual-motor AWD variant will provide a range of over 480km.
The towing capacity of this electric pickup truck will be 6.4 tonnes. You can charge the Tesla Cybertruck at your home, at destination charging locations, or with the charging network of Tesla that includes more than 14,000 superchargers.
